Regina versus Tom Lung

Victoria, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and of the Colonies thereunto belonging, Queen, Defender of the Faith.

To: Alexander Holland Avenue Hotel, Vancouver

James Richardson, 19 Hastings St

Greeting: We command you and every of you that, all business being laid aside, and all excuses ceasing, you and every of you do in your proper person appear before Our Justice of Oyer and Terminer and General Gaol Delivery, assigned to keep Our Peace in the Province of British Columbia, and also to hear and determine all Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanors in Our said Province committed, at a General Court of Assize to be holden at our city of Vancouver in and for the county of Vancouver on Tuesday the 19th day of April AD 1900 now next ensuing at the hour of Eleven in the forenoon of the same day, to testify the truth and give evidence on Our behalf against Tom Lung for assault with intent to murder, and so from day to day during the said Assizes until the above cause is tried. and this you and every of you are in nowise to omit or any of you to omit, on pain of the penalty of One Hundred Dollars.

Witness, The Honourable Argus [?], Chief Justice of British Columbia, the 21st day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and in the 63rd year of Our Reign.
