An Inquest is under way here by coroner Korgan into the deaths of three Chinese recently. There is to be a further session of this Inquest, in the Court House here on Thursday February 1st, 1934, at 7.30pm.

During the occurring of the first part of the Inquest, it was brought out that one D.N. Colquohn, who was Man-ager of the West Shore Timber Co. for some months, and who now is the Manager of the Howard Point Timber Co. with offices at 505 Royal Trust bldg, 626 West Pender Street, and which can any appear to be a re-organization of the Colquohn Management, and who are carrying on the precise name operation, will be a very material and necessary witness at this coming session, and herewith , I send you a Coroner's summons to Mr Colquohn for his attendance, and it is considered latter that this summons be served.

Further, the Coroner will expect Mr Colquohn to produce the following:-

1. Produce all correspondence forwarded by one PeterTome requesting food and other supplies on account of the several Chinese employed at Camp. 2 of the West Shore Lumber Co., from first to last since Peter Tom went there in about August 1933until the last supplies were sent him for this Camp.

2. Produce detailed invoices of all supplies sent to this same group of Chinese, together with shippers hills of lading same.

3. Satisfactory proof of standing of accounts between the West Shore Lumber Co and the Hop Seng Company in respect to all supplies from that company in respect to this same group of Chinese, over the same period.

4. Satisfactory proof of payments on account of wages on contrast or otherwise. [illegible] Peter Wan and this same group of Chinese, over the same period.
