IN WITNESS whereof, as well the aforesaid Coroner as the Jurors aforesaid, had to this Inquisition, put their seals, on the day and year and at the place first above mentioned.

Alberni. B.C.

2nd February, 1934.

We, the undersigned Jurymen, find that the three Chinamen Wong Kong Ying, died January 18th at 10.30 p.m., Lung Yuen Hing died January 17th at 10.30 p.m., and Lui Pong died January 20th, 1934, at 7 p.m. and that the cause of their death, according to evidence supplied by Dr. C.J.Thomas and the Government Pathologist Dr. Pitts, was that they died of Beri Beri, caused by lack of proper food containing Vitamen B.1. From evidence supplied to us we are of the opinion that some person or persons have been very negligent and that a thorough investigation be instituted so that no further occurrence similar to this may take place within the Province of British Columbia.
