the death of Chow Wing Whilst the cars were coming up Chow Wing was near the rope that connects the car his foot caught in the ropes causing him to fall down the cars were coming rather slow but he could not get out of the way of the cars as his foot was caught in the rope and he was caught by the cars the cars were stopped as quickly as possible and the cars were shoved back to get the man out after taking[?] the cars into two parts I then ran to get some help and got a number of men to help and they put him on a stretcher carrying him to the Lamphouse after which I went back to my work

The first man Ching Choy disconnected the rope and threw it down outside the rail on the same side as Chow Wing was standing when it went into kinks Chow Wing was caught in it as he was not fast[?] enough to get away it was part of Chow Wings work to be there and this was his regular job

The rest of the men were on the same side as the deceased

I saw the deceased when he was caught in the rope he caught his foot in the kink[?] and fell across the track

No the rope was not pulled[?] up after he fell

Four men threw the rope over then step'd over to the other side but Chow Wing got caught in the rope and was thrown down
