An Inquisition indented taken at Wellington British Columbia day of April in the 42nd year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria, before me Warner Reeve Spalding gentleman one of the coroners for our Lady the Queen for the districts aforesaid upon the view of the bodies of John Hoskins, William Rennie, Rueben Gough, Appols Damie, Edward Campbell, John Dixon, Ah Choo, Ah Hoy, [illegible] Gaug, Louis Prelli, then and there and within the jurisdiction of the said coroner, lying dead upon the oaths of John Williams foreman. Michael Wilkinson, Andrew Lund, [illegible] Dolan, Morgan Harris, Thomas Richard, jury men good and lawful men of Wellington and Nanaimo aforesaid in the said districts who being now here sworn and charged to enquire on the part of our said Lady the Queen, when where how and after what manner the said John Hoskins, William Rennie, Rueben Gough, Appols Damie, Edward Campbell, John Dixon, Ah Choo, Ah Hoy, [illegible] Gaug, Louis Prelli came to their death do say upon their oath that the above named men came to their death from
