About 10 o’clock last Saturday a chinaman came to my cabin to borrow my canoe for two of this friends. I lent it to him – I went out & saw him take the canoe from the beach. One of the chinaman was Mr. Nelson’s cook. The other one I did not know. I returned to my house and did not see them again. My canoe I got again yesterday afternoon. | About 10 o’clock last Saturday a chinaman came to my cabin to borrow my canoe for two of this friends.
