Speak quietly to the little child be sure its love to gain Teach it in accents soft and will it may not long remain. Speak quietly to the young for they will have enough to hear. For pass thro life as best they may t'is full of anxious care.

Speak quietly! love doth whisper low the vows that true heart binds. And gently friendships accents flow affection's voice is kind. Speak gently to the aged one grieve not the careworn heart The sands of life are nearly run
