warm day we are perspiring tremendously coming home with our loads.
Sept 12th. No packs awaiting us so stay in camp all morning, in afternoon explore & prospect; but do not find any precious metals.
Sept 13th. The chainmen start for Comox Lake, a very warm day; get as far as the folks of the Cruickshank River that night; stay there until 6 a.m. next morning.
Sept 11th. Continue our journey to lake arrive there at 2 p.m. find every one gone to Union for mail, but at 5 p.m. they return & we have a comfortable repast.
Sept 15th. Making things comfortable around lake catching trout and baking bread in gold pans.
Sept 16th. Raining hard stay around under canvas reading novels I am reading "A Wonderful Woman" and it seems to be quite an
