Going in the morning to see Gore - get $150 cheque from the Corporation - to moving picture "The Birth of an Nation", with Ada - very good, but a scroundelly orchestra raise a most infernal din - bad night as a result.

Dinner with the nurses - an awful ordeal. Spend afternoon at home & evening at the Hoakes.  Returning car full of drunken & rowdy sailors & marines.

Going in the morning to see Gore - get $150 cheque from the Corporation - to moving picture "The Birth of an Nation", with Ada - very good, but a scroundelly orchestra raise a most infernal din - bad night as a result.
