Wretched day. Couple more subs  from the "Big push" brought in - all over trench mud - one only his tunic - all shell & sent off home on two months leave. 'Boarded' this afternoon by another major - wants to discharge me & ship me home, but that can't be. Nurse takes me to a concert for the Tommies. In spite of doping don't get to sleep until daylight. Boarded again but held over for further observation - bad day - wet clothes soaked in some dope over my head. Boarded again & 3 months mooted.  Not allowed out without escort anymore - two young snobs of officers arrive - separate table and wine. "New Zealand"
