I was much interested in seeing this famous old monument, was very lucky in being able to get there, as we did not pass the spot, however I managed to work a trip in one day by a bit of manoeuvering while billeted at a place called Nivelles. We are going strong on our hike for the Rhine, just did the odd 20 kilos yesterday on cobble stones! We are N. of Namur now. Weather has been fairly decent. Wish we had been in Brussels for the great celebration they had. However if we get to Berlin I will be satisfied! Love from E.P.G. |
