I wrote to Mother a few days ago from the line, the next day we were relieved by another Battery and we have been in Billets the last 2 days and I am enjoying absolute comfort once more. By Gad I am glad to get out for a bit. It's great to get a decent wash and change of clothing once again. Had my first bath, such as it was, the other day. The first clean up in a month, also got clean underwear. You can imagine how badly in need I was for a change, as these old Fritzy dugouts that we occupy as we advance, usually abound with
