to reorganize after the last scrap before we go back into the line, which I hear today we are going to do immediately . This time though we are being sent to a [?] sector just to hold the line. No cause to worry Mother as there is not likely to be any big stunt pulled off again for sometime, probably not before winter sets in. I am writing this scrawl from a "funk hole" one lives entirely under ground at nights on account of Hun planes bombing at [?] time. Curious existence this semi under ground life, but its extraordinary how quickly one gets used to it, have certainly been roughing it lately, & no mistake!

I wonder very much how near I am to old Heb. I imagine he is not far away at all, wish I could run in to him wouldn't it be funny! I haven't heard anything from the Peach since I came over, wonder if he is over here again or what he is doing? I am writing this from one of Fritz reserve trenches on the Hindenburgh line, we have of course
