June 24th Left AGNEZ station on leave train for unknown destination to take over new Coy the 54th Inf ? Coy. My servant Vaughan went with me via St POL and finally arrived at ETAPLES about 4 P.M. in the evening. I and another officer of the Northumberland ? rode over to LES TOUQUES and the on to PARIS-PLAGE, two most delightful watering places. Stayed the night at the Officers Club ETAPLES.

My servant Vaughan went with me via St POL and finally arrived at ETAPLES about 4 P.M. in the evening. I and another officer of the Northumberland [illegible] rode over to LES TOUQUES and then on to PARIS-PLAGE, two most delightful watering places. Stayed the night at the Officers Club ETAPLES.
  
June 25th Lost Vaughan. Left ETAPLES at 8:30 A.M. for PERNES again via St POL. Arrived PERNES about 11:50 A.M. Had lunch at Rest Camp with naval commander. At 3 P.M. we got on a London motor bus and again went via St POL and on to AUBIGNY where we had tea. From there to MAROEUIL to take over the 54 Infantry ? Coy arriving there at about 6:30 P.M. I met two of my officers, Lt Towgth and Lt Farr. AGNEZ to MAROEUIL is only about 4 miles.
