+ | Have not heard from Duff for a long time but I owe him a letter. Both Wynnie and Mary write that he made a good speech in Winnipeg and refer to the Halibut story. It is a good one, but did not happen in Rupert. It was Kenny Macrae's hopeful who got it off and I think I gave it to Duff. He has made splendid use of it, a good sign. I wonder how the Brewster government is getting along. Someone wrote that he first came out solid for conscription but later on backed up Sir Wilfred. | ||
