Well Fred Harry Brierley is over in Blighty with a bad knee and Ellis just came out of the Hospital was reported in the Casualty List in the newspapers as Died of Wounds, but he is all safe and sound. all the Rest of the Barkerville Boys in the 54th are all in the best of health. I heard jim Murphy died of wounds. Fred I only wish it was finished and Back in the old Town I have been in Lots of mud in Barkerville but nothing to touch the Mud in the Trenches.
