Bramshott Camp Hants England

4th July 1916

Dear Friend Fred.

It is a long time since I heard from you. So I am writing few lines to let you know I am alive and kicking and still in Old England yet but I think our Time is drawing near. we were inspected by the King and Queen and lord French General Sir Archobald Hunter so I beleave it is our last inspection. it was a fine sight to see about 20,000 Infantry and about 2000 Artillary the 67th was in it. they are a Pioneer Battn. I see all the Cariboo Boys in it; very often George Shaw the Great and on only is the same Old Card. Harry Brierley got a letter from Shorty Devitt and he was saying the people of Barkerville are saying they were glad they got Short of us as we were nothing but a pack of Bums. I dont beleave a word of it. I think Shorty is making it up. I do beleave there may be some of them Saying it: you know Your self who I mean Fred. We may be home to tell
