and I am sorry to say that Jim Murphy died in hospital from a shrapnel wound in the kidneys and Billy Fletcher that used to work in the Barkerville hospital was wounded and has gone back to Canada & a fellow by the name of Louis Jackson from Quesnell was wounded and is still in hospital in England but is getting along fine Walter. Archie & Chester Boyd are all well and are in the same platoon so myself & Norrie & Scobie we have had only about two hundred or a little over casualitys so far have been very lucky Charlie Howry from Stanley & Ed Sandholm are making it fine also. Well Fred we have lots of sight seeing but I would rather look at old Canada right now than any place I know of and all the rest of us are of the same opinion all we see is gruesome side of it and it is sure hard work
