Fritz is sticking it & is no doubt suffering more hardships & inconveniences than us. So it is up to us that feel able to stay with it & I am more than willing. Armstrond & Peterson were here. I am not certain but belive they left here yesterday with a party for Canada. Armstrong said his wife had seen a letter of mine in the Observer. I am sorry you sent it to them though I suspect it was with good purpose to serve. Still I open up my heart to you in a way that none of us Englishmen often care to do to the unsympathetic stranger. However I know your judgement is good so perhaps you censored it well enough. Re Armstrong & P. you will hear of them on the Coast before you get this so that if I find they are still here I will not bother to write again in day or two to say so. | ||
