3/ to be available for Thomas Atkins wife & children. besides being taken off the producers list in Canada It is a rotten shame, you & I will have to pay for all this some day. & many of these men owing to loose habits & booze have improved or enlarged the disablement, they had before they joined up & now claim it was done in there countrys service & I feel sure a lot will (owing to local pull) draw a pension which is entirely unearned if you could have seen & heard the last lot of unfits that left here I doubt if you would ever give another cent to the P. Fund. Rather you would give it direct to cases you know. If I dared I would write to Martin Burrell & tell him it should be stopped, this reenlisting men who have all ready had one European Trip at our expense. There are several men here in this camp ( two I came over with ) younger & more fit than I who have been here 18 months & never been to France
