I have not given up trying & have one more plan to try & take a more active part (as last summer) in the game. I could have a better chance to get a change if 15 years younger. Still I always do & did do my work & did not mind it more than I could easily stand during the hotest time on the Somme. Things look good for us both here in France & also in Russia. Russia will now perhaps at last become a realy great country. Our work is hard & uninteresting & without any exciting times & we some times have 4 officers watching us work where as last sumer we seldom had one to ourselfs also grub has been of late at times much too short so short that this morning we did a 6 hour shift without breakfast, no ration, I often did 10 or 12 hrs in the front line work without food & did not mind it & we were at war now we are at labour however some day we will get away I hope,

Regards All of you I am yours Very Truly Ernest Seeley 489697
