& a few other 67th men who Joined up in Cariboo Paul Kennedy of Quesnell & Gordy ( just over from Eng.) of the Fort George Forestry office. One day in Dec I saw Ed Skeene just for a minute up at the front. I sent a lot of Cards to the Red Cross women workers of our country. I am sorry I forgot Mrs Jack Davis & Mrs Jim Carter but I had very little time to get them in & less convenience to write the address etc in than i could have wished.  But as we know the women of Canada do not spare them selfs we wished to try & show that we appreciate it. I would have written sooner but expected to be sent up to my unit some 10 days ago & expected to find a letter there.A good number of oldish men of the 67th were sent down & made P.B.men ( Permant Base) I am still A.(active) very few as old as I up at the front unless senior N.C.Os But I am good for it for the duration
