I would not be surprised at all if Anderson Creek turned out to be good, also there is a chance that it may be the lost creek. But this for your self alone, I think the lost creek lies between A. Ck. & Clear River but is dry for 2 or 3 miles back from Swamp river. It is nearer A. Crk than Clear River. Did Sugar Crk. Tr man come up & was he a success? I hope the wet spell you spoke of did not hurt your chance. I dont know if I told you we lived for many days on the Somme front where for miles not a house was standing, we used to pass through 3 villages that there was not a sign of only some heaps of dust & it really seemed quite strange when as we marched out at night when leaving the Somme we saw a
