It is a fine thing & does one good when we get back from (as on the Somme) a hell of shell fire after a 14 mile walk & shelled going & coming 8 miles of that & then for 4 or 5 hours while there at work with perhaps several good friends killed on that trip when night after night of 3 weeks you do that; each night we can enjoy a letter from any one if we could get it. Letters from home can help to win this war. What are the others in Barkerville doing. Grain writes to V. Minescia regular I know. C and Harper Nicol. Ford. Pat C. or Billey Mac write.
