Dear Fred

Let me say first that I got your 3 letters O.K. I belive one of my letters must have gone astray another I wrote later you should have got soon after you posted your last. Also I got the pkg of Post Cards for which many thanks. I remembered after I had written my letter that I had forgotten to mention them. Also I dont think that I replied to your question re Pro. Newsome. He did not call at the Willows. I do not think he came to Victoria & he would be mentioned in the papers & some one of the Cariboo bunch would see it. I think I sent Fred Harper & Pat Carry a photo of self but am not sure now. We have been sending off so many photos that I am rather mixed as to wether I sent them or only planed to do so. Many times my plans are upset by being put on Special Duty of one sort of the other. Our Company Commander is very apt to call on me for the simple but inconvenient reason that he thinks a lot of me that is inconvenient because it means more duty but chiefly because it means more animosity from my sergent who is
