are learning a little all the time We have had two big field days latly & tomorrow Monday we have another This time senior Cpl is to take command of the platoon this will put me in the worst of it as I was on camp duties & missed the other two days so have not had the lesson the other cpls have had & most all the other cpls are men of 12 or 18 month training at least. However we will do our best & use some of the good common sense Capt N. says I have got. I liked to please the Capt but am sorry I did not go, still I could hardly go after all he said. W. Fletcher is in Hospital but will not be there long as his blood is clean & he does not eat meat Hope you like the Photo. I sent on to Grain as I think he is trying to get a colection of all the Barkervill Boys. A good idea I think. Tell F. Roddie that if he wants to join there is a Bantam Batt being raised. & he has no reason but his own for not joining Newsom did not call at the Willows to see Minisci Minisci would be glad if you can tell him if Newsom is still at Palo Alto. Barkervill certainly did splendidly for the funds. we are all proud of it. & hope we may be able to do our share when our time comes My respects to Mrs Tregillus & please remember me to the kiddies. Turner met Sam & Leslie Walher on the street in Vancouver they knew him at once. & regards to all friend in Barkervill Yours Truly E.Seeley
