My Dear Mother we arrived here last night about supper time, and we haven't done anything today but have a bath which we certainly needed after travelling in the mud and dry box cars. i am with the 5th C.D.A.C. at present but expect to be moved up to a battery in a week or so. We are just close enough to the line to hear the guns. Yesterday I passed Lawrence MacDonell on
