Dear Mother Father  & Sisters I just came off four days draft leave last night & of course I feel tired to night. Your letter and a parcel from Betty Flemming were waiting for me. I went to Whitley Thursday to try & get the boys off but the MO would not let them go just yet as some one had diptheria or some other disease I wanted to show them around London while I could & then send them up to Manchester & Leeds. It was great to see some of the Ellison family again. I do'nt think Bert has changed much Vernon is much bigger though. We had quite a talk all after noon then I got the eve train back to London.
