though we hope to get it tomorrow. I haven't had my breeches or shirt off since I left Sandling a week ago, but tomorrow I'm going down town to get a bath & buy some socks & shirts . Luckily I brought a small haversack with me containing shaving tackle. We may get furniture in the officers rooms in a week or so - at present they contain nothing but blankets, a foam, a tin bowl  & a chair - Still as there is a stove for a fire & electric light, it isn't at all bad. The floor is a bit hard, especially so toward morning - Now don't I wish I were fat , so I have something to act as a cushion between the floor & my bones.
