Tues 18  Last parade of 88th.  Marched to East Sandling 16 miles.  Good day.  Found ourselves attached to 30th Bn + in huts for first time.  Shared room with Major Moberley + good mess + men + officers.  Comfortable.  Lovely neighbours.

Wed 19  Went in search of dentist with Joe to Shorncliffe.  Afterwards very pleasant lunch at Royal Kent Hotel Sandgate.

On return to camp found that all of us for overseas had three days leave.  Rushed for train + caught it.  No luck in town.  Stayed at Windsor Hotel + spent pleasant evening with Mary Bell + K.T.

Thurs 20  Caught 10.15 am train at Liverpool St with Joe + booked for Ipswich.  L5.00 from bank.
