Sat May 20 Nell & I had tea at Pentrelew & said goodbye to all there. Also saw Freda in bed at hospital.

Sund May 21 Early service with Nell & Harry at St. Mary's. Our chaplin Col. Andrews officiating. Then whole family motored to Wright's at Sooke for day. Nell & I had quiet evening.

Monday 22 May Said goodbye to office. Dinner at home. In eveg to Bantam Revue at Royal Vic - v. good & light. Slept at home.

Tues 23 Marching order parade & rest of day hanging about Willows doing odd things.

Wed May 24 Victoria or Empire Day. Orderly officer on Train 2. [illegible] meals served by commissariat car to men in own cars. Food excellent. 1 platoon each care offrs v. comfortable. Good reception at Kamloops.
