& one or two men. You are never very busy through you may be much bothered.

The class of men who fill the jobs are those who for one reason or another are not fit for the front line whether by their own fault or not.

One may too get the town majorship of very unpleasant places like Vimy where all the houses are destroyed & only cellars are left & one can't move about at all on account of the shelling. The only thing to do would be to take up some definite line of study & make up one's mind to write.
