I don't suppose you see old Jimmy Smith - amongst the clergy there is no one in particular now. We may get Owen of Vancouver back to this Bn as Chaplain - our present man is a rotter - I called him a damned liar to his face yesterday & I had many sympathizers.

Mother's cakes & toffee &c were fine. I have made undying friends (for 24 hours) with two French kids in my billet by means of the toffee.
