We can easily reach Folkestone & Hythe from here but I don't know if it is worth while. We hear that we are only to have three days leave. In that case I doubt it I shall see Carleton. England has welcomed us most enthusiastically so far as the people are concerned but if it had not been for [the Cq ?] I don't know what we should have done last night - arriving at a strange unfurnished camp in the dark.
