No 13 In the Field June 2, 1918

Dear People:-

We have been ordered to pack up, and move off on eight hours notice so by the time this reaches you I will be somewhere else in France, though my address will be the same as ever.

There is nothing to tell you of any importance. You probably know as much or more of the war which is raging in the Rheims sector than I do, so I won't attempt to tell you of it. But don't worry about this move winning the war for the Hun. We are not as exhausted as the papers would have you believe.

By the way, I have been wondering whether the Huns will get through as far as Beauvais. If they do poor old Jack will
