feeling rather "fed up", as he is quite conscious of his abilities as a pilot and it is a sad blow to his pride. I really think it will do him good as he is rather too cocksure of himself and his safety when flying. I have observed that it is when a pilot gets over confident and careless in his flying that he comes to grief nearly every time, and strive to keep this fact in mind ALWAYS. It is so neccessary to think with every move in flying that it has become a second nature to me to do so, though often the thought and action are simultaneous. I think Dad will be glad to hear I have learned this as I can remember he used to "strafe" me quite often for not thinking what I was doing. Well dear people there is little to write of here but things going on around me as I have had no letters from yourself. I expect they will all come in a lump someday.

We are quartered in this big place at an old race track (now our aerodrome) and just near the Mersey River.
