Depositions of Witnesses CANADA City of Victoria Province of British Columbia The EXAMINATION of C P Bloomfield  of the said City of Victoria in the said Province of British Columbia taken on this thirty first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty one at Victoria in the Province aforesaid before the undersigned one of her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said province in the presence and hearing of Ah Jim alias [?] who is this day charged before me This deponent C P Bloomfield upon his oath deposeth saith as follows: Yesterday morning a little after 6 o'clock I went to a China house on Cormurant Street . I believe it was Ah Sow's house . [?] and mr Shakespeare also went. We proceeded to a loft where there were some 7 or 8 Chinamen present. I heard Mr Shakespeare ask
