Folkestone, March 10 (1917)

Dearest Mother Elizabeth's letters arrived and I was scared stiff when I read about you & Myra going through the ice. I hope that your soaking left no ill effects. I am awfully glad that it did not stop you from going again because I know that you enjoyed it very much. I am still here and do not know yet what they are going to do with us. I do not care much as long as I get out of the infantry.
