nice pack of playing cards, me thinks I'll have to correspond there too! I met Mr. Cross and Roger Monteith, they were on the wharf here waiting for me. old C.T. was very friendly and I thanked him again very much for the glasses. Amongst others who were down to say au Revoir in Victoria were Ethel [Pitts?], May Newcome and Poor Ruth Jones. Well mother the train is just going to pull out, so I have no time for more, but will write en route. Am awfully glad Mr. Oliphant is with me, he is a very decent chap. Best love to all Mother and keep cheerful. Your affect. Son Erroll.
