Up to the present it has always been you who apologizes, or if you didn't you ought to have done. While I really do apologize for receiving 2 letters from you and only writing one in return. [?], I'll say no more, I'll leave you to guess whether I wish the terrible calamity on the 10th day or not. Why, you will be a blooming mistress, and my blood be upon your [?], cccccccurrrrrse you!! Fancy Irene sending you that. I wonder what she's doing now. Give me all the news, when you write her send her my love. She always was a favourite of mine. I met [Bambry?] in the bar of the Royal [?] at Brighton about 2 months ago. He was very drunk [?] 2 drinks, and the barmaid had to call him back as he was going out without paying for them - a curious lapse of memory
