133rd Siege Battery R.G.A.

Another strenuous day - one section after another on 2 6" Howitzers lecture to all ranks by a doctor on the usual army sickness - whole army corps out of commission there from. Weather still execrable - storm after storm.

Out with observers - resecting on map & triangulating. Paid the Bty. off. Lecturing on initial elevation & ranging. Weather bad as ever. Sergeant-Major ill - Sgt. Franelle acting S.M.

All day with specialists laying out lines of fire with Quinton's signallers giving telephone communication lecture on probability factors. Maj. takes officers 6 - 7:30 reading puffs and ranging on line of observation. Long walk with Quinton - weather cold and cloudy.
