Saul Archer Constable sworn Saturday morning about ½ past 9 o’clock I went to the old shaft [?] in the Vancouver Ground. Could not find the body of the child. Ah Flang gave information that a child had been thrown down a shaft in Lightning Creek. He described to Lindsay, Chief Constable the place where the child had been thrown down.

Went back on Sunday and found the body. This is the body inspected by the jury.
