built for Brigade.  This is a peaceful sector + yet I have lately had two quite close calls from machine gun bullets when I was not looking for trouble at all.  However, these are every day incidents + they are not considered even interesting subjects of conversation in the mess.  Today who should drop into this place but young Harrington the son of the ex-Inspector of Legal Offices.  He has done well - been wounded, got the MC + had 3 1/2 months in England + is now temporarily commanding a battery.  He is a good chap but if there is any chance of getting any enjoyment out
