About 10 o’clock last Saturday a chinaman came to my cabin to borrow my canoe for two of this friends.  I lent it to him – I went out & saw him take the canoe from the beach.  One of the chinaman was Mr. Nelson’s cook.  The other one I did not know.  I returned to my house and did not see them again.  My canoe I got again yesterday afternoon.

About 10 o’clock last Saturday a chinaman came to my cabin to borrow my canoe for two of this friends. I lent it to him – I went out & saw him take the canoe from the beach.
