My dear Mother
I was so bucked at getting your nice letter this am written on 21st June, the Dada also honored me with one dated 25th which was much appreciated too. Glad to know you are all going strong & I hope having a decent summer. The weather here has been pretty unpleasant lately. I don't whether this spot is always so windy in summertime , but if it is I can safely say it must be the windiest spot on God's Earth! It gets rather trying after a time & "gets one's goat" a bit, especially when one is living in a tent. Last week we had two very heavy thunderstorms some of the heaviest rains," I've ever experienced"( to quote the old sayings). The tent that Oliphant and I are in leaked like a sieve & unfortunately  for me my bed happens to be under the leaky side! The rain came on when I was attending a class, & when I got back I was relieved to find my batman had saved the situation pretty well, by throwing over my trench coat & [b--berry - illegible] over my blankets otherwise I would have been out of luck, the coats must
