Last night there was a proper mix up & half the senior officers were properly canned, "disgusting swiggers" as Mother would say, (emphasizing by holding up her first finger so) not exactly life like! Believe me I'll always steer clear of any drinking bouts! Today we had a very nice little service on board, conducted by our little parson Knight from the cathedral. I was glad to be able to join.
