at the present moment I am writing from a place called Nivelle, quite a fair sized town, we are likely to be billeted here for a couple of days for a rest. We are following up Fritz pretty closely he left here a couple of days before we entered this town, he'll have to get a move on or we'll soon be on his tail & then he's apt to have things made interesting for him. They left some of their guns & aeroplanes here evidently hadn't had time to take them with him. We are heading for the Rhine! Just what part I don't know. I'm going  to be in on "Der wacht am Rhine" so Hoch der Kaiser! By gad I'm thankful they didn't keep me in England any longer than they did, fancy if I was still stuck at Seaford. I'd be clean
