My dear Mother,
Just a hurried line to say we made Vancouver O.K. & are now all entrained at Depot waiting to pull out at 10 p.m.
We had a beautiful passage over, the sun came out & it was fine & warm on the deck. We got in at 7 p.m. – had a good supper on board at 6 p.m. I must say we got a splendid send-off from Victoria. The march down to the boat is a day I'll never forget; I hadn't much of a chance of having many words with Pa & Dugald. I was rather rattled with all the Pems down in force, I must say it was awfully
