We had a most pleasant trek to the coast - Four of us in a very fine private car. Rather hard on the one lady, tho', wasn't it? But we had a lot of bridge - I occupied a double brass bed, in a "room" containing a wardrobe, dressing table, with drawers below, running water + bath room next door. And we lived like fighting cocks - assuming those birds fare sumptuously every day - "Kennedy" never gave us the same menu twice - excepting cocktails - + they were the same, before luncheon + dinner!
