I take the pleasurable opportunity of writing you these few lines in answer to your always looked for and very newsy and interesting letter which I received on the 10th inst and was more than pleased to hear from you and get so much news and though some of it was very satisfactory I must say that some of it was very distastefull that is to say in regard to the government work of which you made mention I can't imagine no or any of the rest of us over here what the liberals of your constituency could be thinking about to stand for such nonsense it appears to us over here that there could have been some older men and more qualified
